We haven’t had a chance to introduce you to one of our newest Alien Boy team members yet. She is Carol Wells and she’ll be writing and managing our grants.
She’s ready to roll, so we’re buying her a printer – almost cheaper than buying new ink!
Highly recommending the HP
K5400, mostly for it’s large ink cartridge.
It’s not that we’re parcismonious here, it’s just that our needs to date have been very small.
The Mental Health Association of Portland bought a large box of cookies, a cell phone, and some stamps for our lecture series in 2005.
We bought candles, paid for a post office box, some more stamps, and a round of coffee for the New York Times in 2006. This helped us take a little credit for tearing down the Oregon State Hospital.
In 2007 we spent $16 on printing, more stamps and PO box, more coffee, clip boards, pens and pencils. Our budget for our advocacy about what happened to James Chasse cost about $100.
So far in 2008 for Alien Boy, it’s a $5000 camera, a $90 printer, and $12 to make some business cards. We’re definitely in uncharted waters.
